Before you bounce

In order to use our equipment, you need to be in good physical condition without any medical conditions that may increase your likelihood to causing you injury or for you being involved in an accident. We also require that all customers using our trampoline facilities consider their medical condition.

The British Gymnastics Association (the National Governing Body for Trampolining and Gymnastics) has released health and safety guidelines for customers with special needs.

If in any doubt as to your ability to use our facilities, please seek advice from your GP.

The following conditions could result in injury to yourself or cause damage to your health:

  • Down's syndrome
  • Neck instability
  • Achondroplasia (disproportionate Dwarfism)
  • Forces and actions that could aggravate physical conditions;
  • Excessive participant weight > 125kg/19 stone (which could increase forces on your body, would/could lead to an increased risk of bone and joint damage)
  • Circulatory conditions
  • Heart or lung conditions
  • Recent surgery
  • Back or neck conditions (including Rodded back and Brittle bones)
  • High blood pressure
  • Spine, musculoskeletal or head injury
  • Pregnancy

Customers with Down's Syndrome

Approval for participation that is signed by the GP or Pediatrician must be provided before taking part in any trampolining activities.

The British Gymnastics Association (the National Governing Body for Trampolining and Gymnastics) has released guidelines for customers with Downs Syndrome. It is possible that certain customers with Downs Syndrome may also have Atlanto-Axial Instability (Instability within the vertebrae in the neck) and as such to ensure their safety, customers with Down's Syndrome and neck instability will be asked to obtain evidence from a GP or Pediatrician that they have been screened, using the screening test developed by the British Gymnastics Association for Atlanto-Axial Instability.

Customers with Special Needs

We aim to offer a safe, fun, inclusive experience for all our customers. However, for certain customers with special needs, there may be restrictions regarding the use of certain types of equipment. This is to protect you from possible injury. All our adventure parks are equipped with disabled access and disabled lavatory facilities. Carers for people with special needs are always welcome. To help ensure you have the best possible experience, our team will be available to assist you in any way they can.

Customers with Autism

We offer sessions specifically aimed at customers with ASD. These are known as SEND sessions and can be booked online.

Customers with Dwarfism

The British Gymnastics Association caution customers with Disproportionate Dwarfism, recommending that they should not participate in trampolining. They should also not perform gymnastics skills which involve repeated jumping or rebounding.

Customers with Epilepsy

Customers who have epilepsy, which is controlled, are welcome to use our facilities.

Customers who have epilepsy which is uncontrolled should consider the following:

Flashing lights might be used in some of our jumping sessions and this might affect some people with epilepsy. Customers with uncontrolled epilepsy will be asked to obtain their GP's approval for trampolining and other forms of sports participation taking into account the following:

  • The type and severity and frequency of seizures
  • The presence or absence of warning signs
  • Known trigger factors (e.g. cold parks, stress, excitement, noise or dazzling lights

Trampolining should only take place when:

  • Accompanied by a person aged 18 years or over, who must have knowledge of the condition and be able to recognize an attack.

Trampolining should NOT take place if:

  • A person with uncontrolled epilepsy feels unwell
  • During peak conditions
